Geospatial Mapathon 2025 (Edition V)

We participated in the FOSSEE Geospatial Mapathon 2025 from 15 March 2025 to 20 July 2025 and were recognized as winners in this open-source mapping challenge.
Our project focused on mapping forest fires caused by Jhum cultivation in Mizoram. We used open-source QGIS software and satellite data from the Bhuvan portal to analyze how this traditional farming practice impacts the environment.
